Elijah Blue Allman's trial date has been set.

Allman, the 49-year-old son of entertainment icon Cher and Gregg Allman, waived his arraignment on charges related to an incident at a prep school in Concord, N.H., local outlet WMUR reported; his trial for the related charges has been set for June 16.

Allman was taken into custody on Friday, Feb. 27, the Concord Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE at the time, after allegedly causing a disturbance at St. Paul's School around 6 p.m. and acting belligerently.

Following the incident, Allman was charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct, according to police. He was later released on personal recognizance bail, meaning he didn't have to pay any money as bail and agreed to appear at future court dates.

At the time, WMUR reported Allman had no connection to the school.

Days later on March 1, Allman was arrested again after allegedly breaking into a home in Windham, N.H., According to a press release, police responded to a report of a residential break-in involving forced entry, and Allman was taken into custody on the scene "without incident."

Allman appeared the following day in Salem District Court for his arraignment, during which he was ordered to be held on preventive detention, PEOPLE previously reported.

News of Allman waiving his arraignment related to the Concord incident comes days after his mother, Cher, filed a second time for conservatorship, PEOPLE previously reported. In the petition, Cher sought a temporary conservator for the estate of her son, who she described as "gravely disabled" and experiencing "severe mental health and addiction issues."

The filing claimed that Allman was "currently in custody in the State of New Hampshire in a locked psychiatric hospital in an attempt to restore him to competency to face criminal charges in two cases across two New Hampshire counties for: felony burglary criminal mischief, simple assault, criminal trespass and breach of bail, but that is just the current set of problems."

Cher also claimed her son "spends any money he gets immediately," often on drugs or expensive accommodation or transportation, per the filing. She further alleges his state "has become dire on multiple fronts" due to his "severely deteriorated" mental health and "terrible" financial situation, in addition to what she described as "drug dependency is at its worst."

Amid Allman's legal troubles, Kayti Edwards — the step-granddaughter of Julie Andrews — told The Sun in an April 19 interview that Allman fathered a daughter named Ever, now 15, after they shared a brief romantic encounter. In the same interview, Edwards said that she confirmed Allman was the child's father when Cher reached out to her last summer.

Edwards said Allman previously reached out to her asking to make amends and get to know his daughter.

"He wanted to see her and have a relationship with her, but he wasn't in any state," Edwards said. "I had to shelter her from him, and when he gets better, he will appreciate that ... He needs to get back to being the guy I once knew, and Cher agrees. We need to get him better."

Allman is due in court related to the Windham case on April 22, with a hearing regarding the conservatorship filing scheduled for April 24.
