Eugene Levy pays tribute to Catherine O'Hara at Canadian Screen Awards: 'She made us proud to be Canadian'

As Canadian films and TV were celebrated at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards on Sunday night in Toronto, Eugene Levy took the stage to speak about his dear friend and frequent collaborator, the late Catherine O'Hara. Levy said their friendship is something he’ll cherish for the rest of his life.

Levy recalled first working with O’Hara at Toronto’s Second City in 1974. Saying that there was “no denying” that she was “extraordinarily gifted” in comedy.

“Getting laughs for her was second nature. She made it look easy,” Levy said.

The actor went on to talk about working with O’Hara on the hit series Schitt’s Creek.

“Her six glorious years of working on Schitt’s Creek gave all of us on the show the unique opportunity to witness up close the sheer brilliance of her Moira Rose. A creation that will go down as one of the most iconic characters in the history of television comedy,” Levy said. “And it was Moira Rose, along with … hit films like Beetlejuice and Home Alone that helped make her one of this country’s greatest exports.”

“She made us proud to be Canadian. … Her email handle was ‘sorry, eh.’ And there was no place on earth she loved as much as her idyllic island cottage in Muskoka. You couldn’t pry her out of there with a crowbar. Her body of work alone has earned her legendary status in the entertainment industry, but it was who she was as a person that endeared her to millions. For me, she was the one person I spent the most time working with over our 50-year career, and that is something I take great pride in being able to say. Catherine O'Hara was simply the best.”

O’Hara died on Jan. 30 in Los Angeles, at the age of 71.

Matthew Fox opened up about his decision to leave Los Angeles for Italy, and how it was prompted by the ending of Lost and his role as a dad, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE

“When you're in this business, I think it's really good to carve out a place where you feel like you're living life," the actor said

Fox shares two children, daughter Kyle and son Byron, with wife Margherita Ronchi

Matthew Fox left Los Angeles for a good reason.

The actor, 59, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview at an FYC event for The Madison on Saturday, May 30, that his exit from L.A. to Italy was prompted by the ending of Lost and his life as a father.

Fox, who currently stars in the Taylor Sheridan series, played Jack Shephard in Lost from 2004 to 2010.

“I spent a lot of time, for a few years there, heavily in the spotlight, specifically with Lost, and then did a couple of years of doing films after that," Fox said. "For me, the step away was more about spending time with my family."

The TV star shares two children, daughter Kyle and son Byron, with his wife, Margherita Ronchi.

At the time of the overseas move, Fox recalled, “Our daughter was entering her teen years, and I had been on sets and also traveling around doing a lot of promotion for Lost. Margherita and I really felt like it was a great time for us to really, really focus on our kids that are going through the teen years, which is always a bit of a challenge."

The father of two — who called his kids “absolutely incredible” and said he is “so proud of them" — continued, "When you're in this business, I think it's really good to carve out a place where you feel like you're living life. I think that feeds the work you do when you reenter and take a gig."

Fox said he was able to discover "so many interests in my life that are outside of being an actor" through the move, including music and flying.

“Flying is really important to me, and I spend a lot of time doing it. It's almost a meditative and therapeutic thing for me. It helps organize my mind,” he explained.

Back in March, Fox opened up about life in Italy while appearing as a guest onJimmy Kimmel Live.

When asked if he speaks Italian, the actor said, “I'm getting there. It's not an easy language to learn, but I'm learning it.”

He also spoke more about shifting focus to his family during his break from the spotlight during an interview with Variety that was published in March.

“I felt like it was time to engage really intensely with my family. I had missed some of their childhood because I was on set all the time with Lost and doing films,” he said.

“It was the right moment for me to step back and take a moment and engage with the people that I love and care about the most in the world,” Fox added.

After Lost concluded, the actor appeared in a few movies through 2015. He had a seven-year hiatus until 2022, when he joined Peacock's Last Light. The next year, he appeared in the Australian comedy series Caught.

Fox returned to the small screen as Paul Clyburn in The Madison, also starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Elle Chapman and Kurt Russell, available to stream now on Paramount+.

SINGAPORE, May 30 (Reuters) - The United States, ‌Britain and Australia are working together to develop unmanned undersea ‌vehicles as part of their trilateral AUKUS defence pact, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told reporters on Saturday.

AUKUS said in a joint statement that delivery of the vehicles will start in 2027.

The programme will improve the three nations' reconnaissance and strike capabilities, "and bolster superiority in anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, mine countermeasures, ‌electronic warfare, and contested littoral manoeuvre," the statement added. The programme comes under AUKUS's so-called "Pillar Two" to develop advanced defence technology including quantum computing, undersea, hypersonic, artificial intelligence and cyber technology.

"The signature project will deliver a suite of highly adaptable multi-mission UUV payloads designed to support undersea operations and maintain our collective advantage in the maritime domain," Hegseth said.

Formed by the three ‌countries in 2021, AUKUS is part of their efforts to push back against China's growing power in the Indo-Pacific region.

China has called the AUKUS pact dangerous and warned it could spur a regional arms race.

"This will rapidly give our forces the very most advanced battlefield technologies as together ‌we produce a range of cutting-edge sensors and weapons systems for undersea drones," said Britain's Defence Secretary John Healey.

Healey added that the unmanned undersea vehicles will sharpen all ‌three countries' ability to respond to threats, including those targeting underwater cables and pipelines.

"For too long in AUKUS, we talked too much and delivered too little," said Healey, who was talking alongside Hegseth and ‌Australia's defence minister on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.

MUST WATCH: Fernando Tatis Jr.'s first home run of 2026 is a bomb

Fernando Tatis Jr. has broken through.

The zero next to his name in the home run column has mired the Dominican superstar's first two months of the season. Despite the fact that his .272 average through 237 plate appearances is on par with his six other MLB seasons, and that the underlying metrics — his 51.6% hard-hit percentage and 75.2 mph bat speed are both in baseball's top seven percent — suggest the power is still there, Tatis just hadn't been able to hit one over the fence.

Until Saturday, May 30.

Tatis got a fastball over the heart of the plate from Washington Nationals starter Foster Griffin in the top of the fourth inning and demolished it. As soon as he made contact, Tatis raised his arms and flicked his bat in the air as the ball towered 451 feet into left field for his first home run of 2026.

Haley and Hanna, former college athletes, promote "body positivity" and being their "most confident self"

Haley and Hanna Cavinder are opening up about getting matching boob jobs together.

The 25-year-old twins got identical breast augmentations done at the same time in July 2025, and they shared numerous updates on social media throughout the healing process in the months that followed.

Attending the Sports Illustrated Swim Beach Club Party on Friday, May 29, the influencers and former college basketball stars opened up to PEOPLE about embracing the reception to their candid videos — and why they decided to be so open about their cosmetic procedures.

“I would say, when it comes to feeling like your most confident self, whatever it is, I'm always for that, for females,” Haley said at the Miami Beach event, held at W South Beach. “Whatever you want to do, whatever you want to stand with, it's your body and how you feel your most confident self is what you should do at the end of the day.”

“You only have one life,” added Haley, as her twin sister agreed, “Exactly.”

Hanna, for her part, chimed in with a message about “body positivity,” telling PEOPLE that part of the decision to be open about the procedure has to do with her belief that what goes around comes around.

“I would just say, whatever you spread will always come back to [you], whether it's body positivity, anything in life,” she said at the star-studded SI Swim event.

Plus, Hanna added: “If you're happy with yourself, what else matters?”

During the twins' chat with PEOPLE, Haley also shared what she has been doing to feel confident this summer as she prepares to marry Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson.

“I'm planning for my wedding, so I'm trying to prepare to be my most confident self by just working out, hitting my steps, eating the right protein. That makes me feel like my best self during the summer,” Haley said less than a month before her nuptials to the NFL star.

Haley and Hanna — who have a following of nearly five million — first announced their breast augmentation surgery with Texas-based plastic surgeon Dr. Jon Kurkjian last July. They later revealed that they both received low-profile under-the-muscle 190 cc mini Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonmix implants.

The duo “wanted a perky look,” per Haley, and “paid roughly between $8,000 to $9,000” each for the surgeries, Hanna later revealed.

In other videos, the former college athletes defended why they had the surgery at the same time and addressed some of the comments criticizing the size of their chests.

"Going through a recovery from a boob job with my twin makes me want to go through a pregnancy with her, too, because we keep each other company,” Haley said of the sisters' surgeries. “Everyone's like, ‘You always do everything together,' and I'm like, ‘No s---, I guarantee you would too.' I was in the womb with her."

Speaking about critics, Haley said that by “posting this journey,” she wanted “to show females they can do what they want and body positivity.”

— sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

The twins recently chatted with PEOPLE about their careers, and Hanna opened up a bit about the approach she takes to the twins' massive online reach.

"Whether it's basketball or just giving your advice and having such a big platform, I think we have a huge responsibility to encourage and uplift girls, and not even just younger ones,” Hanna told PEOPLE. “Other girls will come to us for advice, and I think that's just a big responsibility when you have a platform.”

Spoiler alert! This story includes details from Episodes 1 - 7 of HBO's "Euphoria."

Season 3 of "Euphoria" is prepared to go out with a bang following a shocking penultimate episode that saw the horrifying demise of Jacob Elordi's Nate Jacobs.

In the May 24 episode, Nate's financial troubles finally caught up to him with Naz (Jack Topalian), who he owed money to, and his partner Artur (Matthew Willig) burying Nate alive inside a coffin. Nate's only hope was a small hole that led up to the surface for air. Despite his efforts in yelling for help, that hole ended up being the very thing that killed him as a rattlesnake slithered into the coffin and fatally attacked him.

Nate's wife Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), meanwhile, attempted to gain her online following back, which she lost when she deleted her OnlyFans account, by sleeping with actor Dylan Reed (Homer Gere). In Cassie's defense, she was trying to raise the money that was needed to pay off Naz and free her husband.

Season 3 of "Euphoria" is set five years after the events of Season 2, with the characters of Sam Levinson's HBO teen drama wrestling with the "virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil," according to the series synopsis.

'Cool way to go': Jacob Elordi reacts to shocking 'Euphoria' death

The new season returned to mixed reviews. USA TODAY TV Critic Kelly Lawler gave the new season ★★ out of four, writing that in the "four years since its last season and seven years since it began, 'Euphoria' has come back to a completely different zeitgeist ‒ and not just because Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya and newly minted Oscar nominee Jacob Elordi are all bona fide A-listers bigger than the show. The world has changed, the stars have changed and 'Euphoria' has changed."

"There is less passion and vibrancy to the show, even at its most objectionable moments," Lawler added. "The fire has gone out, the party drugs are all used up, and the lights have turned on at the club."

Here's what to know about when the final episode of "Euphoria" Season 3 will release and how to watch.

Will 'Euphoria' return for Season 4?

HBO Max has not made any announcements regarding Season 4 yet.

Series creator Sam Levinson, however, hinted Season 3 would be the series's last, telling Variety in an article published April 7 that he writes "every season like it's the last season" and has "no plans" for a Season 4, adding he is currently completely focused on delivering his best work with Season 3.

"I want to finish this as strong as I can. I’m cutting (Episodes) 7 and 8 still," Levinson told Variety. "I’m putting some finishing touches. I just want to deliver a (expletive) slam dunk season."

In April, Zendaya, on "The Drew Barrymore Show", also indicated the series would be ending with Season 3.

"I think so, yeah," Zendaya told Barrymore when asked if it was the final season. "That closure is coming."
