Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson has been fined for an aggressive interaction with an official during a game against the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 30.

James Jones, who serves as the NBA's Executive Vice President/Head of Basketball Operations, announced that Atkinson was fined $50,000 for "aggressively pursuing, berating and making inadvertent contact" with a referee.

Atkinson was assessed his second technical foul of the game and was ejected with 10:59 left in the fourth quarter of Friday night's contest. The Suns went on to beat the Cavaliers 126-113, the loss snapping Cleveland's five-game winning streak.

Atkinson was upset about a no-call on Suns guard Collin Gillespie, who was aggressively defended by Cavaliers guard Sam Merrill.

When do Cavaliers play next?

The Cleveland Cavaliers will play the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 9 p.m. ET.

England's Justin Rose might be too far ahead for the rest of the golfers in the Farmers Insurance Open to catch up.

Rose shot a 4-under-par 68 on Saturday in the third round to carry a six-stroke lead into the final round in San Diego.

Despite three bogeys on the Torrey Pines South Course's back nine, Rose enters Sunday's play at 21-under 195 for the tournament.

Joel Dahmen also posted a 68, putting him in second place. Japan's Ryo Hisatsune (68) and South Korea's Si Woo Kim (69) share third place at 13 under. Max McGreevy (71) is next at 12 under.

"If Justin makes his tee time and continues to play this way, he's going to win the golf tournament," Dahmen said. "He's just playing too well."

Rose is looking for his second title at Torrey Pines, where he won in 2019 with a 21-under score.

On Saturday, Rose was 4 under through seven holes and added a birdie on No. 10 before a pair of bogeys. His birdie on the 13th hole got him back on track, while he finished the round with a birdie putt from about 3 1/2 feet on the par-5 18th.

Maverick McNealy (70), Germany's Stephan Jaeger (65) and Ireland's Seamus Power (74) are at 11 under.

Jaeger had the best round of the day with all pars and birdies. Defending champion Harris English recorded a 67 and sits tied for 20th at 8 under through three rounds.

"Happy to turn around and have a really nice round," Jaeger said.

Jaeger had only one birdie Friday. He said he adjusted his putting grip and that paid off.

"I think I'm going to try them again (Sunday)," he said. "I putted really nicely today so it's going to stay for a while."

The next-best rounds of 4 under were turned in by Adam Schenk and Keith Mitchell -- both at 9 under -- along with Australia's Jason Day, Rose, Hisatsune and Dahmen.

Brooks Koepka, in his first tournament since defecting from the LIV Golf, won't factor in the final round after posting his second 73 of the tournament during an erratic round. He's at 2 under and tied for 61st.

Koepka said he was nervous upon making his return. Now playing on the weekend, he's relieved regarding the reception he has received.

"It has been phenomenal," Koepka said. "It has been overwhelming. It has been very cool. I don't know what I expected, but this is beyond what I could have dreamed of."

Chris Gotterup, who won the season-opening Sony Open a couple of weekends ago, said golfers are anxious to find positives early in the schedule.

"All of us want to get off to good starts (to the season)," he said.

Gotterup shot 70 for the second straight day and is tied for 20th at 8 under, but he said the course is offering a fair yet challenging test.

"You have to be in the fairway, you have to be in the right spots on the greens," Gotterup said. "Whoever wins this week is going to earn it."

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak interviewed Saturday for the Las Vegas Raiders' head coaching job and was also scheduled, according to multiple reports, to meet with Arizona Cardinals officials about their vacancy.

This was the second round of interviews with Kubiak for both teams — the last two NFL clubs still searching for head coaches.

If Kubiak reaches an agreement with either team, no announcement can be made until after the Super Bowl on Feb. 8 between the Seahawks and New England Patriots in Santa Clara, California.

Kubiak also could decide to stay in Seattle and wait another year rather than take on a challenge of turning around a franchise — either one — that since 2022 represent two of the three worst in terms of losses.

The Raiders haven't won a playoff game since their last Super Bowl appearance in the 2002 season. They have made the postseason just twice since, most recently in the 2021 season. The Raiders went 3-14 this season, resulting in the firing of Pete Carroll.

Las Vegas has been a revolving door of coaches, and the Raiders will begin next season with a different person in charge for the third year in a row.

But the Raiders also have the top pick in this year's NFL draft and are expected to take quarterback Fernando Mendoza. The Heisman Trophy winner led Indiana to the national championship and could be the franchise QB the organization has long sought.

Management will have nearly $90 million in salary cap space to surround Mendoza with potential talent, the second-highest amount in the league, according to overthecap.com.

Both teams have taken their time to fill this position, though the Raiders seemed to have focused recently on Kubiak. That became even more clear this week when Denver quarterbacks coach Davis Webb reportedly pulled his name from consideration.

Team minority owner Tom Brady was notably complimentary of the 38-year-old Kubiak while serving as the Fox Sports analyst during the NFC championship on Sunday between the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams NFC championship. Sam Darnold completed 25 of 36 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns in the 31-27 victory.

Arizona's stealthy, meandering search is nearing four weeks. Jonathan Gannon was fired on Jan. 5 after a 15-36 record over three years, including a 3-14 mark this season.

The Cardinals haven't officially announced any interviews, but have been linked to discussions with several candidates, including Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, former Falcons head coach Raheem Morris, Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and former Panthers and Commanders coach Ron Rivera.

Campanile appears to be out of the running after signing a new deal with the Jaguars. Joseph was the Cardinals' defensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022.

Arizona hasn't made the playoffs since 2021 and has the No. 3 overall pick in the upcoming draft. The Cardinals' roster could be in a state of flux — particularly at quarterback. Kyler Murray is in the middle of a $230.5 million deal that could keep him in the desert through 2028, but the 28-year-old missed most of last season with a foot injury and it's unclear whether the franchise wants to stick with him after seven seasons.

It was Kubiak's work with Darnold that got the attention of both Southwest-based teams. Darnold, taken third overall by the New York Jets in the 2018 NFL draft, had been considered a bust until leading Minnesota to a 14-win season in 2024. But the Vikings moved on from Darnold, and he proved that season was no fluke by winning 14 games in Seattle en route to leading the Seahawks to the Super Bowl against New England.

The eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach didn't reach the final round of voting to be inducted this year

Tom Brady, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcels, as well as "many of the outspoken supporters," are invited to the summertime party to celebrate Belichick, according to the insider

Jordon Hudson is planning a "huge bash" for boyfriend Bill Belichick, after the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach was snubbed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

As A-listers from all over the sports world — including Tom Brady, LeBron James, Deion Sanders and Patrick Mahomes — said they're baffled after Belichick, 73, was not voted as a first ballot Hall-of-Famer, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively that Hudson, 24, is planning to celebrate the former New England Patriots coach with a party on the same day as the HOF ceremony on Aug 8.

"Jordon is planning to throw Bill a huge bash on the same day as the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony," the insider says.

"Tom Brady, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcels and others who were planning on attending Bill's HOF induction ceremony in Canton are invited," the source continues, referring to some big names in the NFL world.

Other invitees, the source adds, include "many of the outspoken supporters from the wake of Belichick's HOF snub."

According to the source, the planned party lines up with the HOF ceremony this summer, because those invited "were already planning to travel to support Bill."

"The purpose of the bash is to celebrate alongside all of his people," the insider adds.

This year's official HOF inductees — which may include Patriots owner Robert Kraft, 49ers running back Roger Craig and Bengals quarterback Kenny Anderson — will be revealed next week.

When Belichick was first announced as a Hall of Fame finalist in December, he set aside his feud with Kraft, 84, who was denied nominations for the honor more than a dozen times after he was involved in scandals like "Deflategate" and accused of soliciting sex workers at a spa in Florida. (Those charges were later dropped.)

After it was revealed that Belichick, who has dealt with heavy public interest surrounding his relationship with Hudson, was not voted into the Hall of Fame when first eligible, sports stars from all leagues expressed their confusion.

Belichick's longtime quarterback Brady, 48, said, per ESPN, "I don't understand it. I mean, I was with him every day. If he's not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, there's really no coach that should ever be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, which is completely ridiculous because people deserve it."

The retire athlete added, "There's no coach I'd rather play for. If I'm picking one coach to go out there to win a Super Bowl — give me one season — I'm taking Bill Belichick. So that's enough said."

Chiefs quarterback Mahomes, 30, said in a post on X, "Insane… don't even understand how this could be possible," while football coach Sanders, 58, called the snub "straight out IGNORANT," writing on X that Belichick is "arguably the BEST NFL COACH TO EVER COACH THE GAME!"

NBA star James, 41, said in his own social media post, "Man there's no way I read that right! Right? Ain't no WAY Bill Belichick ain't 1st Ballot HOF!! That's IMPOSSIBLE, EGREGIOUS, and quite frankly DISRESPECTFUL!"

J.J. Watt also expressed his shock on X. "I can't be reading this right. This has to be some knock-off Hall of Fame or something, it can't be the actual NFL Hall of Fame, There is not a single world whatsoever in which Bill Belichick should not be a First-Ballot Hall of Famer," he wrote.

ESPN and USA Today reported earlier this month that Belichick didn't reach the final round of voting, securing only 40 of the 50 votes needed for induction. Inductees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame (also referred to as the NFL Hall of Fame) are selected by a committee of up to 50 people.

The official list of who did and didn't write Belichick's name down hasn't been released. The official list of 2026 inductees will not be announced until the NFL Honors on Feb. 5.

Belichick will not be able to be reconsidered for the HOF spot until 2027.

Drag is magic. But it's also tragic if you're Ariel Versace on the receiving end of a hilarious pop off in the midst of Wig Gate.

*RuPaul's Drag Race* season 11 winner Yvie Oddly and Miss Congeniality Nina West stopped by the most recent episode of *EW's BINGE* podcast to tell hosts Joey Nolfi and Jillian Sederholm about a particularly testy, unaired moment that saw the latter queen — regarded as one of the kindest, gentlest souls in the RuGirl family — losing it in the middle of the season's most peculiar controversies.

"Wig Gate was such a big thing for our season," West said, as Oddly chimed in about the "so stupid" moment that, in the simplest of terms, sort of (but then later sort of didn't) involve various queens being accused of stealing Versace's wigs after her elimination. Tensions flared up over the confusion when the previously eliminated queens returned to the Werk Room for the perennial makeover challenge. "I completely lost my cool. All of those girls came back on my elimination episode," West recalls. "At this point, I was really raw. I had a feeling that this just might be my time, I was like, I think I'm going home. It was right when those girls walked in, and Ariel looked over at my station and she goes, 'That's my wig!' and I completely lost my s---. I don't think there were any cameras on me. I was like, I don't know why she would accuse me of stealing, I don't need to steal! Ariel and I have obviously talked about it since, because I popped off as the most Nina West pop off I've ever done."

Oddly also remembers the moment with a laugh, mimicking West's tone as she delivered a fatal, verbal blow to Versace after the accusation: "You cut her off immediately like, 'No, no, no, no, sweetie! That's *my* wig. It, unfortunately, *looks* like it's styled like one of your wigs!'"

Elsewhere on the episode, Oddly discusses an update on her overall health and the status of her Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, what her hot dad has been up to in quarantine, the difficulties queens of color face after graduating from the show, and another tense moment with that dreaded magician who guest-starred on the magic show challenge episode.

Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives is doubling down on his bullish thesis for the "fourth industrial revolution," identifying Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) and Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) as the two indispensable pillars of the burgeoning physical AI market.

The Two Titans Of Physical AI

While the tech world remains captivated by Large Language Models (LLMs) and chatbots, Ives argues that the most significant value is shifting toward machines that interact with the physical world.

For Ives, two companies stand alone at the summit of this transition.

"It just comes down to like physical AI, the two best physical AI plays in the market, Tesla, and the other one, it's the godfather of AI, Jensen, Nvidia," Ives stated.

"Those to me are the two biggest and the best physical AI plays in the world," Ives told CNBC International.

Tesla's Software Pivot And The $800 Bull Case

For Tesla, the narrative has shifted from vehicle delivery counts to high-margin software adoption.

Ives believes that Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology is the primary engine that will transform Tesla's valuation, forecasting a potential leap in adoption from 12% to 50%.

"I believe we talk about $600 base case, but $800 bull case, is… ….the margin story that's going to start take hold," Ives explained.

He described 2025 as a "huge transition year" leading into a "golden year" in 2026, driven by the convergence of FSD, autonomous Cybercabs, and robotics.

Trending: Blue-chip art has historically outpaced the S&P 500 since 1995, and fractional investing is now opening this institutional asset class to everyday investors.

Nvidia: The Infrastructure Powering The Boom

While Tesla represents the "Visionary" application of physical AI, Ives views Nvidia as the bedrock of the entire movement. He characterizes Jensen Huang's company as the essential provider of the hardware that makes autonomous systems and industrial robotics possible.

According to Ives, Nvidia will "continue to lead the infrastructure powering the AI boom."

He argues that the company remains "four to five years ahead of any other chip player," making it the primary beneficiary of the massive capital expenditure currently flooding the tech sector.

The Energy Bottleneck And Vertical Integration

As the "arms race" for AI supremacy intensifies, Ives warns that the primary constraint is no longer capital or engineering, but power.

He noted that there are currently more data centers under construction than active data centers, putting an unprecedented strain on the grid.

To survive this "power crunch," Ives suggests that vertical integration—including custom cooling and on-site generation—is the only viable path forward.

"The only thing that's stopping it is not capbacks. It's not technology. The only stops are the shortages that we see in terms of energy," Ives concluded.

Over the last three years, OpenAI and Anthropic have evolved from speculative artificial intelligence (AI) laboratories into full-blown infrastructure behemoths. Between the two companies, trillions of dollars have been committed to future infrastructure projects.

Whether it's Project Stargate or new chip deals with Nvidia or Advanced Micro Devices, OpenAI and Anthropic are on a mission to become the default platforms on which all things AI are built.

Smart investors understand that as these two unicorns become more deeply embedded across AI, semiconductor stocks aren't the only ones poised to benefit. If you're looking for ways to profit from the surging growth of OpenAI and Anthropic, then you'll want to check out these three members of the "Magnificent Seven."

OpenAI's flywheel is a bellwether for Microsoft

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) was OpenAI's first hyperscaler investor. Through this partnership, it provided OpenAI with the infrastructure to develop and scale up its foundational model, ChatGPT.

The benefit for Microsoft was that the company essentially purchased a first-mover advantage in integrating generative AI. Today, ChatGPT is heavily distributed throughout Microsoft's cloud service, Azure.

Whether it's coding on GitHub, data analytics through Dynamics, or generic prompts on Copilot, the increasing use of OpenAI's software has fueled a surge in the volume of AI workloads powered by Azure. Moreover, enterprises constantly need incremental cloud services -- which ultimately points them to Microsoft.

Through its partnership with OpenAI, Microsoft has become one of the strongest pillars supporting the AI revolution. This creates a flywheel effect between OpenAI and Azure -- ultimately making OpenAI's adoption a key tailwind for Azure's long-term trajectory.

Amazon is quietly turning into an AI infrastructure powerhouse

The role of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) in the AI narrative features some notable large-scale infrastructure agreements.

For starters, Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently struck a $38 billion GPU leasing deal to ease OpenAI's capacity strains. While OpenAI's workloads are still primarily running on Azure, the deal with AWS underscores how alternative hyperscale cloud operators are capturing market share as developers are constantly pressed to secure more data center capacity.

Beyond OpenAI, Amazon's relationship with Anthropic uniquely positions the company across several areas of AI. Over the last few years, it has committed $8 billion in investment capital to Anthropic.

Amazon benefits from this relationship in two ways. First, similar to OpenAI, Anthropic is a major user of GPU clusters operated by AWS. Perhaps more importantly, though, is Anthropic's adoption of Amazon's in-house designed application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), Trainium and Inferentia.

Custom chips like these are designed to lower training and inference costs while also improving performance across specific workloads. In theory, as Anthropic's adoption rises, Amazon's strategy of building a vertically integrated infrastructure stack will be increasingly validated.

If Amazon is able to position its AI accelerators as high-caliber alternatives to the general-purpose GPUs designed by Nvidia and AMD, then AWS should enjoy a lucrative degree of pricing power as customers become increasingly locked in to the platform.

In the long run, this should increase their switching costs -- making the idea of going to another platform virtually unthinkable. In turn, Anthropic has given AWS a subtle competitive advantage as the AI cloud race heats up.

Anthropic and OpenAI have given Google Cloud their seals of approval

Shortly after ChatGPT was launched, many on Wall Street concluded that Alphabet's (NASDAQ: GOOGL) (NASDAQ: GOOG) cash-cow Google Search business could be facing an existential crisis. After all, why would people continue to spend time parsing through Google results and combing the webpages it links to when they could ask a large language model (LLM) and receive an answer directly?

What most of those investors were overlooking, though, was the growth in the company's Google Cloud division in relation to its advertising segment. Throughout the AI revolution, Google Cloud has not only achieved impressive top-line growth, but the business itself is also now consistently generating operating income.

What's pretty rich is that two of Google Cloud's marquee customers are OpenAI and Anthropic -- the two companies that were supposedly in line to sap the life from Google Search. OpenAI is leveraging Google Cloud for added computing power. And Anthropic is complementing its existing chip stack of Nvidia GPUs and Amazon's ASICs with Alphabet's custom chips, known as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).

Anthropic's decision to train next-generation models on TPUs should strengthen Google Cloud's competitive position. In the cloud infrastructure space, both AWS and Azure have greater market shares than Alphabet, but it is swiftly becoming a key AI infrastructure platform, not just a tertiary cloud service.

And as OpenAI continues to tackle its capacity bottlenecks, Google Cloud stands to benefit from accelerating user adoption as well as its broader exposure to continued data center construction.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)-backed AI developer Anthropic is reportedly in a standoff with the Pentagon over how its artificial intelligence tools can be used.

Pentagon Vs. Anthropic: A High-Stakes AI Dispute

The dispute centers on whether Anthropic's AI models, which include safeguards to prevent harmful actions, can be deployed by U.S. military and intelligence agencies without restrictions, reported Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter.

As per the sources, Anthropic raised concerns that its technology could be used to target weapons autonomously or spy on Americans without human oversight.

The U.S. government has "extensively used" Anthropic's AI for national security missions and the company is engaged in productive discussions about ways to continue that work, an Anthropic spokesperson told the publication.

Anthropic did not immediately respond to Benzinga's request for comments.

Pentagon officials, citing a Jan. 9 department memo on AI strategy, maintain that commercial AI should be deployable as long as it complies with U.S. law, regardless of corporate usage policies, the report added.

Trending: Blue-chip art has historically outpaced the S&P 500 since 1995, and fractional investing is now opening this institutional asset class to everyday investors.

Ethics, National Security And Silicon Valley Influence

The standoff represents an early test of how Silicon Valley companies can shape the ethical deployment of AI in military contexts.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei this week warned in a blog post that AI should support national defense "in all ways except those which would make us more like our autocratic adversaries."

The San Francisco-based startup is preparing for a potential public offering while investing heavily in U.S. national security partnerships.

The disagreement comes as Anthropic, along with other AI developers like OpenAI, Alphabet Inc.'s (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google, and Elon Musk's xAI, navigates contracts with the Pentagon.

Anthropic Projects $18 Billion In 2026 Revenue

Anthropic has boosted its 2026 revenue projection by 20%, now expecting sales to reach $18 billion this year and $55 billion in 2027.

Its popular AI model, Claude, achieved a $1 billion run rate revenue just six months after its public launch.

In addition, Anthropic recently completed a funding round valuing the company at $350 billion, far surpassing its original $10 billion target.

Martin Short and Steve Martin led a touching toast to their former costar Catherine O'Hara at their Austin comedy show on Friday.

"She has been the greatest, most brilliant, kindest, sweetest angel that any of us worked with," Short said.

O'Hara died at 71 on Friday following a brief illness.

Martin Short and Steve Martin are remembering one of their favorite costars.

Following Catherine O'Hara's death at 71 on Friday, the Only Murders in the Building actors took a moment to pay tribute to the late Beetlejuice actress at their comedy show at the Bass Concert Hall in Austin.

"Catherine O'Hara I met when she was 18 years of age," Short said as he and Martin raised glasses of champagne in front of a projected photo of her. "And all these years later, she has been the greatest, most brilliant, kindest, sweetest angel that any of us worked with."

As the audience erupted into applause, Short said, "God bless."

Short first worked with O'Hara at Toronto's Second City improv theater in the 1970s. The actors previously crossed paths when she auditioned for the original Toronto production of Godspell, which Short ultimately starred in after O'Hara was passed over for a role. "I took the program home, and I remember kissing his picture because I thought he was so adorable," O'Hara later said of seeing Short in the play.

O'Hara began her time at Second City as a waitress before joining the comedy troupe after Gilda Radner departed for a gig on Saturday Night Live in 1975. Short joined the group in 1977.

They then performed alongside their Second City costars on SCTV, which also featured John Candy, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Harold Ramis, Joe Flaherty, and Andrea Martin. The show aired in various iterations from 1976 to 1984, with Short coming on board in its fourth season.

Short and O'Hara also costarred in the animated films The Addams Family and Frankenweenie, the latter of which reunited O'Hara with two of her Beetlejuice collaborators, director Tim Burton and actress Winona Ryder.

Martin and O'Hara collaborated on NBC's short-lived The New Show, which Lorne Michaels created during his time away from Saturday Night Live in 1984. The comedians guest-starred together on multiple episodes of the sketch series, which also featured O'Hara's SCTV colleague Dave Thomas as one of its only regular cast members. Martin and O'Hara later costarred in director Gillies MacKinnon's A Simple Twist of Fate, a 1994 comedy-drama Martin wrote that was loosely based on the 1861 novel Silas Marner by George Eliot. Martin also worked with O'Hara's husband, Bo Welch, who served as the production designer for his 1991 movie Grand Canyon.

In a 2020 story about Catherine O'Hara's career renaissance at the peak of Schitt's Creek's success, Short recalled the actress stealing the spotlight at a small dinner party with guests Tom Ford and Anjelica Huston. "Anjelica went completely still," he recalled of O'Hara's entrance to the gathering. "She said, 'Oh my God, oh my God, I've got to meet her, I've got to meet her.' It was like Paul McCartney walking in in 1965."

O'Hara's death prompted a number of tributes from her former costars, including her lifelong collaborator Levy, who remembered her in a heartfelt statement shared with Entertainment Weekly.

"Words seem inadequate to express the loss I feel today," Levy said. "I had the honor of knowing and working with the great Catherine O'Hara for over 50 years. From our beginnings on the Second City stage, to SCTV, to the movies we did with Chris Guest, to our six glorious years on Schitt's Creek, I cherished our working relationship, but most of all our friendship. I will miss her."

Ellen DeGeneres is celebrating her wife Portia de Rossi's latest birthday.

The Arrested Development alum turned 53 on Saturday, Jan. 31, and DeGeneres, 68, marked the occasion by sharing a sweet tribute to the actress on Instagram.

"Happy birthday to my favorite person in the world," she wrote.

The simple message was accompanied by a photo of de Rossi holding a dog in her arms while standing outside in a garden. She's casually dressed in a light blue button-down shirt and jeans, paired with a brown belt.

"I'm holding space for what's happening in our world and holding close what I'm grateful for," she wrote in her caption. "Like my wife. And cookies."

Shortly before the birthday post, DeGeneres shared a video of Alex Pretti, the ICU nurse who was shot and killed by federal officers in Minneapolis on Jan. 24.

DeGeneres and de Rossi have been married since 2008. They renewed their vows in 2023 with a ceremony officiated by close friend Kris Jenner and featuring a performance by Brandi Carlile.

De Rossi surprised DeGeneres with the vow renewal during her 50th birthday party. In a video later shared by DeGeneres on Instagram, the actress — who rewore her Zac Posen gown from the couple's 2008 wedding — can be seen walking up to DeGeneres in a crowd of guests and saying, "Surprise!"

"You don't have to say anything at all, but when I was thinking about what would make my birthday really special, apart from being with family and friends, it was reminding you that you're the most important thing in the world to me," the actress continued as the ceremony began.

In the caption of her Instagram post, DeGeneres called her wife "the greatest gift."

When the pair celebrated their milestone 15th wedding anniversary in August 2023, DeGeneres shared a photo of herself and de Rossi posing together on a yacht with the ocean as their backdrop.

"To my wife of 15 years," she wrote. "I fall more in love with you every day. My life is blessed because you're in it. Happy anniversary."

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Carter Welling and Nick Davidson scored 12 points each and No. 22 Clemson used a big first-half run to take control on the way to its 15th straight win over Pittsburgh, 63-52, on Saturday.

Welling and Davidson combined for 17 second-half points for the Tigers (18-4, 8-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who opened a 17-point lead at halftime and gave Clemson coach Brad Brownell his 200th home win over 16 seasons.

The Panthers (9-13, 2-7) used a 14-4 run at the start of the second half to get the lead into single digits. But RJ Godfrey had two inside baskets and Welling scored six straight points to restore Clemson's large lead.

Pitt has struggled during ACC play. It had hoped to carry momentum from an overtime win against Wake Forest earlier this week into Clemson.

But the Tigers' defense kicked in midway through the opening half as they went on a 26-9 run over a 13-minute span to take control. Efrem "Butta" Johnson had two of Clemson's five threes during that surge while the Panthers shot just shot 21% and were 2-of-18 from behind the arc the first 20 minutes.

Johnson's second 3-pointer put Clemson up 33-16 at the half.

Roman Siulepa land Damarco Minor ed Pittsburgh with 12 points apiece. The Panthers' leading scorer, Brandin Cummings, was held to points, 11 fewer than his average.

Godfrey finished with 10 points for the Tigers.

The game went on as scheduled despite a rare winter storm throughout the state of South Carolina that was expected to leave up to 8 inches of snow on campus.

Pitt: Goes to No. 17 Virginia on Tuesday night.

Clemson: Goes West to play Stanford on Wednesday night.

MILAN (AP) — Antonio Vergara gave Napoli supporters another reason to cheer amid a deepening injury crisis at the Serie A defending champion on Saturday.

Vergara scored a wonder goal in the Champions League midweek and weighed in with a goal and an assist in Serie A to help Napoli beat Fiorentina 2-1.

That was Napoli's first win in four matches in all competitions, and cut the gap to Serie A leader Inter Milan to six points.

Inter was playing at Cremonese on Sunday.

Napoli was looking to rebound from being eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday after a 3-2 loss to Chelsea.

Vergara scored his first goal for Napoli in that defeat and he added to that with his first Serie A goal on Saturday, in the 11th minute. Rasmus Højlund was blocked from collecting a long ball by Fiorentina defenders but that allowed Vergara to latch onto it and sprint clear before drilling into the bottom right corner.

The locally born midfielder leapt over the advertising hoardings and onto the track to celebrate with the fans.

Fiorentina came close to equalizing moments after the host should have doubled its lead but Roberto Piccoli headed a free kick off the post and, as the action continued, Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret pulled off an incredible save to parry Albert Guðmundsson's header at point-blank range.

However, also in that move, Giovanni Di Lorenzo landed awkwardly on his left knee, which appeared to buckle under him. The Napoli captain was clearly in agony and was taken off on a stretcher to an ambulance.

Napoli has struggled with injuries all season and the players sidelined include Kevin De Bruyne, Frank Anguissa, David Neres, Billy Gilmour, Matteo Politano and Amir Rrahmani.

Napoli doubled its lead at the start of the second half when Vergara picked out Miguel Gutiérrez on the right and he cut inside past Fiorentina defender Robin Gosens before curling into the far bottom corner.

Manor Solomon reduced the deficit in the 57th minute, tapping in the rebound after Meret parried Piccoli's attempt.

Fiorentina remained 18th in Serie A, one point from safety.

Berardi's back

Domenico Berardi had a great return to the starting lineup by scoring and forcing an own goal as Sassuolo won at Pisa 3-1. Berardi's first start since November followed a hamstring strain.

Sassulo climbed up to 11th while Pisa remained rooted to the bottom of the table, four points from safety.

Hellas Verona, in penultimate place, was playing at mid-table Cagliari later.
