President Donald Trump was spotted venturing out without his usual aide, Natalie Harp, in a notable departure from the norm, instead accompanied by his so-called "most beautiful" aide, Margo Martin.

Trump, 80, was photographed heading to the Ellipse to board Marine One bound for Joint Base Andrews on July 27, with Margo by his side and Natalie conspicuously absent. The president was en route to Milford, Michigan, to tour a General Motors facility when he was pictured alongside Margo both on the White House grounds and in a vehicle heading to catch their flight.

This follows Donald Trump being branded a 'petulant child' as his 'most beautiful' aide posts a video of him 'stealing' an award.

Catching Trump without Natalie nearby has become increasingly rare, amid mounting speculation that she refuses to leave his side as questions surrounding her actual role persist.

Natalie, who has been a constant fixture beside the president as he carries out his duties, was spotted inside the White House's Oval Office on Wednesday clutching three phones in her right hand during an event announcing major renovations to Dulles Airport.

Natalie's profile has risen considerably since Trump returned to office in January 2025. Numerous social media users have taken to calling her the president's "diaper nurse," a pointed jab at his age, given that he ranks among the oldest presidents in American history, reports the Irish Star.

Rumors about Trump wearing a diaper first surfaced when he was photographed standing alongside Spain's national soccer team as players hoisted the World Cup trophy. Despite holding the role of executive assistant to the president, Natalie has become one of the most recognizable faces within the administration.

She was recently spotted accompanying her boss as he inspected the newly completed renovations to the North Portico of the White House. Both Natalie and the president were seen surveying the updates after returning from a day at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

The 35-year-old was photographed wearing a baseball cap while carrying several binders.

Additional photos revealed Natalie chatting and laughing with two men believed to be connected to the renovation project. The assistant reportedly spends much of her time sourcing merchandise, conducting Google searches, printing news articles from conservative websites, and suggesting posts for the president's Truth Social account.

Psychology experts have suggested she has developed a "child and caregiver bond" with the president.

According to Natalie, President Trump became her savior after he approved the use of several alternative treatments following the failure of chemotherapy and other trials. Experts suggest this is what fueled such fierce loyalty toward the president.

"When one person plays a meaningful role in another's survival, whether by advocating for treatment, providing resources, or simply being present during the most frightening chapter of their life, the relationship is often transformed," said Ben Mushlin, founder of Searchlight Therapy.

Joseph Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai, owners of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty, are divorcing after 30 years of marriage.

“Clara Wu Tsai and Joe Tsai have decided to end their marriage, a decision they came to mutually and with great respect for one another,” a spokesperson for the couple said in an exclusive statement to Page Six.

“Over the years, their relationship evolved into more of a partnership, one of running their businesses and raising their children together. While they have grown apart, their divorce is amicable and their relationship remains a strong, professional partnership.”

The statement also addressed the arrangement with the couple’s business ventures.

“Joe will remain Chairman and Clara will remain Vice Chair of Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment,” it read. “Joe will remain Governor of the Brooklyn Nets and Clara will remain Governor of the New York Liberty.

“They will continue to own and be stewards of the teams with professional management in place as they always have. In the long run, they also plan to involve their children.”

Joe and Clara have three adult children. They married in October 1996.

Ownership of Alibaba, the technology company Joe helped found, will not be impacted.

“There are no plans to sell any Alibaba shares and Joe’s role as Alibaba Chairman is not affected by this development,” the statement read.

“Joe and Clara remain deeply committed to continuing their existing philanthropic and community work. They are both driven by the best interests of their family, businesses, and communities, and are dedicated to continue working together as partners.”

The couple acquired full ownership of the Nets and Liberty in 2019 for $2.35 billion, which was the most expensive purchase of an American sports franchise at the time.

They had obtained a 49 percent stake the year prior. Clara’s involvement led to the Liberty relocating from MSG to the Barclays Center, the home of the Nets in Brooklyn.

Jude Bellingham is back. England’s World Cup superstar made his first public appearance since being back in the UK to see Birmingham City triumph over Barcelona, having just got back from holiday in Hawaii.

Birmingham retired the No 22 shirt for his services to the club, not only on the pitch but also off it. His sale, for an initial £25m to Borussia Dortmund, dragged them out of financial difficulties in June 2023. Bellingham was spotted in attendance with his mum and dad, Denise and Mark, and celebrated both of Birmingham’s goals in the friendly, as well as staying for their penalty shoot-out success.

His attendance was teased by Birmingham as they played the Beatles’ Hey Jude before the game, and it was met with immense cheers as he was shown on the screens around the ground. Renditions of the song, amongst chants of “Jude Bellingham, he’s one of our own” became the anthem of a sold-out St.Andrew’s under the lights.

This is what else stood out in the friendly.

One to watch

Hamza Abdelkarim is already back from the World Cup, where he featured four times for Egypt. Could he be the next Egyptian forward to break-through? Abdelkarim became the youngest Egyptian player to feature in the World Cup, at just 18, and is already back in action, eager to impress Hansi Flick at Barcelona.

He will be looking to throw his name in the hat for consideration as the club assess their options up front, having parted ways with Robert Lewandowski earlier in the summer. The 18-year-old won Barcelona’s first-half penalty, dispatched it, and then scored the goal that put Barcelona into a 2-1 lead, pouncing on a mistake by James Beadle. His 60-minute double at St Andrew’s will do his hopes no harm.

How ready are Birmingham to mount a serious promotion push?

Having finished in 10th place in their first season back in the Championship last season, Chris Davies’ side will be expected by ambitious ownership, spearheaded by Tom Brady, to mount a promotion push this time round.

Tonight they beat Barcelona, as their 2-2 draw took the La Liga champions to penalties, in which Birmingham won 3-2. Sure it was against a much-changed, very youthful Barcelona squad consisting of 17 players called up from “Barcelona B”, but there are plenty of positives for Davies’ side to take from the evening. Owners Tom Wagner and Brady’s project is ambitious to say the least, and will hope to play sides such as tonight’s opponents in competitive fixtures in the foreseeable future.

Between the sticks for Barcelona (for the opening 60 minutes) was the experienced and decorated 36-year-old Wojciech Szcz&eogonsny, and for Birmingham, it was young England under-21 international James Beadle. It is never a bad thing for an England goalkeeper to be involved in a penalty shoot-out win. The 22-year-old atoned from an earlier error as he made an outstanding double-save to take the game to a penalty shoot-out, where he brilliantly saved two penalties, sealing Birmingham’s 3-2 spot-kick victory. He will have eyes on breaking into the England squad, and follow the path of fellow under-21 Euros winner James Trafford. Brighton have long said that he has all the potential to be England’s future goalkeeper.

By contrast, veteran Szcz&eogonsny’s evening was not so successful. His mistake put Birmingham 1-0 up over European giants, we’ve heard that before. He endured constant goading from the home fans, remembered for his mistake at Wembley, which led to a historic 1-0 victory over Arsenal, handing Birmingham their second-ever League Cup title. It got worse for the Pole, as August Priske scored the opener, rising above a young Barcelona defence to guide a well-placed header past Szcz&eogonsny in goal. The Poland international was slow to react to the 31st-minute header which lacked any real power, a goal that he should have kept out, as the fans behind the goal at the Tilton End were sure to remind him.

Motherwell have been granted planning permission for a brand-new two-storey training facility building and a new synthetic surface on the site of their current training ground.

The club currently train at rented facilities at Dalziel Park, and will use funds generated from recent player sales along with the SFA's 'Pitching In' Fund to build the new centre.

The new base will include "state-of-the-art changing rooms, a gym, a medical room, staff offices, an analysis suite, meeting rooms and a canteen" and will "provide a high-quality training centre for our professional players and staff."

"This is a hugely exciting project for the football club," said club Chief Executive Brian Caldwell.

"As a board, we believe this project meets a need to further improve the club's training facility that is of great benefit both to the club and to our local community.

Jason De Puy believes his time on RuPaul’s Drag Race was more challenging than his experience on Big Brother 28

The latest Big Brother houseguest to walk out the door is reflecting on his game after the 12-0 vote that sent him packing

He says, if the opportunity came up, he would return to Big Brother with a potential new strategy

For Jason De Puy, surviving the Big Brother house was one thing. Surviving RuPaul’s Drag Race? That’s the real challenge.

The drag performer and reality star, 35, quickly became one of the breakout personalities of Big Brother 28 despite being the season’s third evictee. But he says living under the constant surveillance and navigating alliances was still easier than spending hours transforming into his drag persona, Salina EsTitties.

“Definitely the six-hour drag transformation,” De Puy tells PEOPLE when asked whether Big Brother strategy or getting into drag is more exhausting. “Big Brother has been a vacation for me.”

He adds with a laugh, “I don’t think any other BB contestant could ever handle Drag Race. I definitely think Drag Race is the harder game, to be quite honest. But what I will say is [Drag Race] is the more expensive game.”

De Puy’s time in the Big Brother house came to an early end on Thursday, July 30, when he was evicted by his fellow houseguests in a 12-0 vote following a tumultuous week involving house meetings and a lot of noise (courtesy of his pots-and-pans strategy).

Still, he says he hopes Drag Race fans don’t look at his early Big Brother departure and assume the CBS competition series is a breeze. “The biggest thing for me is to think that Drag Race fans are like, ‘Boo, he only got voted out third,’ ” he says. “I’m like, ‘No, you guys could never survive one day in the Big Brother house.’ So I feel good about it.”

As De Puy shares, being a drag queen came with its advantages and disadvantages when secluded with over a dozen strangers on a TV set.

“You’re not afraid to take the spotlight, and it definitely puts a target on your back to do so,” he says. “I think a lot of drag queens would have a hard time blending in, to be honest. I thought I blended in fairly well for the most part. But ultimately, when it was time to turn on the show, I thought that was probably the most threatening to people when they saw the real drag queen come out of me.”

Before entering the house, De Puy tried to gather whatever intel he could from former Big Brother player and friend Frankie Grande, who competed on the show’s 16th season in 2014. While Grande couldn’t reveal much, one small piece of advice ended up becoming part of De Puy’s strategy. “There was not much he could say,” De Puy recalls. “I was trying to pry for information without giving too much information away because I wasn’t necessarily allowed to tell him.”

The one tip he did learn ended up helping him read the game: “Look at where the cameras are pointing at.”

“‘That will probably tell you that something juicy’s been going on,’ ” he recalled. “I was able to clock who was talking and who was making conversations that were juicy enough for the cameras to look at. That was kind of a strategy I utilized in the game.”

De Puy’s game unraveled after the now-infamous “tea party” confrontation earlier this week, when a seemingly lighthearted house gathering turned heated after fellow houseguest and then-head-of-household Kamu Kirk aired him out in front of his housemates. De Puy didn’t back down, though, and questioned the fellow competitor’s tactics in front of everyone else. He believes the moment showcased why keeping Kirk around was dangerous for everyone else’s game.

“That was kind of my final pitch, right?” he says, referring to his plea to target the opposing side of the house. “I was like, ‘Look at what Kamu is capable of. If you guys want to stand a chance to win this game, you need to make sure they’re not in power.’”

He compares Kamu’s move to an earlier exchange involving fellow houseguest and Survivor alum Rick Devens. “Devens did the same thing with me and Rome [Seymour] week two at the nomination ceremony,” he says. “Devens, Kamu. They want the spotlight. They want to be the big guy. They wanna be the showgirl. And with me in the house, that was too threatening because baby, I’m the showgirl.”

Of course, De Puy’s most memorable response came after the “tea party” confrontation, when he marched through the house banging pots and pans in a scene that’s already become one of the season’s defining moments.

“I was in bed after the tea party trying to go to sleep, and Kamu’s voice just kept playing in my head. It was irritating me,” De Puy says. “It was so very clear that Kamu wants to be this influencer. He wants to be famous. He talks about wanting to be on TV so bad. I’m like, ‘You know what? I have to show him who the real TV star is right now.’”

While fans compared the moment to other memorable reality TV blowups, including those of Josh Martinez from Big Brother 19 and Tanisha Thomas fromBad Girls Club, De Puy says he wasn’t thinking about making a meme. “It was less about creating a viral moment and more about really irritating them and scaring them,” he says. “I think that’s what I wanted to do. I don’t think anyone in that house had balls to stand up to Kamu. No one had the balls to stand up during that tea party, except for me and myself.”

He adds, “So I was like, ‘I’m going to show these kids. You’re not going to just bully me and isolate me, put me in a corner. I’m going to speak up. I’m going to make a moment. I’m going to make you scared.’”

After his fellow houseguest Kirk made viral anti-drag remarks during their time in the house, De Puy says he believes his castmate felt “threatened” just by the words “drag queen.”

“Not once did I ever put a stitch of makeup on my face. I never wore a wig. I never put on a dress. I’m the drag queen, but [Kirk] was so threatened by the idea of just those words. Just those words alone spiraled him into a place where he had to pick on me, bully me, air me out and make a fool of me right in front of the entire house,” he says, laughing. “Never even saw me in drag.”

Despite his short stay, De Puy would happily return to Big Brother, though he admits he’d tweak his strategy and would “go back and study” to see where he’d handle things “differently.”

But there is one thing he wouldn’t change. “I’ll also still maybe be messy,” he says.

WASHINGTON – The Senate's education committee delivered a bipartisan rebuke of the Trump administration's Education Department dismantling, approving a bill that would fully retain key offices – including the special education division – within the agency.

The panel approved the bill with a 13-9 vote on Thursday, July 30. Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, co-sponsored the legislation, which was led by Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia. Last month, Kaine secured a handshake agreement with Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-Louisiana, the committee chairman, to get a vote on the bill.

The measure would create a shield around core Education Department offices overseeing special education and Native American, K-12 and postsecondary education. Key functions and people from those divisions are already being shifted to other federal agencies, to varying degrees and on different timelines.

While the bill may not succeed on its own on the Senate floor, Kaine said it sent a loud message to two important groups: parents of students with disabilities and congressional appropriators. He said appropriators, the powerful lawmakers in Congress who decide how to specifically spend taxpayer dollars, now have a "lot of leverage" in funding negotiations that could help curb the Trump administration's reorganization of the Education Department.

"You shouldn’t just hand it off willy-nilly," Kaine told USA TODAY.

Murkowski, who like Collins is also an appropriator, said she had a "pretty good conversation" recently with Education Secretary Linda McMahon about downsizing the department. But she came away from it unconvinced that the millions of children who rely on the agency’s help can afford to wait for a "proof of concept."

"We cannot lose sight of the fact that, at the end of the day, we are talking about children," Murkowski said. "These are issues that have a real-time impact on our children right now."

In a letter sent to members of Congress on the same day as the vote, McMahon said her efforts were not "adding red tape" but instead “cutting through it.”

"It is a betrayal to American families that Washington politicians are rushing to protect a failing status quo in education when roughly 30% of our students can read proficiently," she wrote on social media.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Alabama, echoed that sentiment. He said he had "no doubt" that even with the agency’s reduced capacity and full-scale reorganization, it remains capable of sending out formulas for federal dollars on time.

Special ed division in the spotlight

Arguably one of the most controversial moves McMahon has made as education secretary was an agreement she signed in June to give the Health and Human Services Department a role in federal special ed programs.

That shift has alarmed much of the disability community, who’ve voiced concerns about potential disruptions from the reshuffling, as well as HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s controversial past statements about autism.

A top Education Department official held a call earlier this month with prominent special ed advocates, several of whom came away with more questions than answers. Press Secretary Savannah Newhouse told USA TODAY at the time that a "different building, a different floor, or a different desk" wouldn’t change Education Department employees' mission to serve students with disabilities.

Yet even Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy, the doctor helming the Senate education committee, was opposed to HHS having a role in special ed. He argued Thursday that such a change could turn students with disabilities into patients to diagnose, rather than learners to educate.

"This risks reversing decades of progress," he said.

He offered his own bill in committee to shield just the special ed office from HHS. But he ultimately didn’t bring it up for a vote. He also opposed Kaine’s bill, saying it was too broad.

'Show us the receipts'

Even if Democrats can’t stop McMahon from functionally breaking apart her own agency, they may be able hold her more accountable for it.

Senators on both sides of the aisle also approved a legislative amendment Thursday that would direct the secretary to provide cost estimates for each interagency agreement she's signed. If fully passed, her travel funds would be blocked until she shared those price tags with Congress and the public.

Not a single Republican senator on the panel objected to that push. Sen. Patty Murray, the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee who introduced the amendment, demanded McMahon “show us the receipts.”

"Secretary McMahon is duplicating the work her department was already doing by asking other agencies to do it instead, and claiming somehow this makes government 'more efficient,'" Murray said. "Fine. Prove it."

Late-night hosts are reacting to President Donald Trump's eulogy of Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Trump gave a tribute to Graham, who was honored with a memorial in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C., on July 28, with "The Daily Show" host Jordan Klepper recapping the president's attempt to, per Klepper, "say anything nice, anything nice at all."

After poking fun at legislators lying in state as essentially being "brought back to work and displayed next to the copy machine" after their death, the comedian then played a clip of Trump's now-viral remarks about "virtually everyone" liking Graham before qualifying the statement by saying, "Well, not everybody, but it sounds good."

"I can't believe I have to say this to Donald Trump, but can you just lie to us?" Klepper reacted. "It's a memorial. You can paint a rosier picture."

He then reacted to Trump recalling his "nasty" move of sharing Graham's phone number with "millions of people" back in 2016 before broadcasting his number again and quipping, "Who wants to give it a shot?"

"Do you think the phone's going to start ringing in the casket, Lindsey's going to burst out of the coffin, like, 'I got to get this. It could be someone trying to book me on a Sunday show'?" Klepper said. "Also, why do you still know that number? I don't even know my wife's number. I just know my number and 1-877-Kars4Kids."

Jon Stewart skewers Trump's reaction to Lindsey Graham's death

Seth Meyers, on his "Late Night" show on July 30, also joked about Trump's blunt comments.

"Amazing. The one time where it's perfectly acceptable to lie a little bit and he decides to tell the truth," Meyers said, before launching into a Trump impression. "'Lindsey, a lot of people didn't like him, but at least he was bad at golf.'"

Earlier in the week, the comedian joked about the president appearing to have dozed off during other eulogies.

"He looks like me after I've had three White Claws at the beach," Meyers quipped on the July 29 episode. "I get that running the country is an exhausting job, but you're not sleeping enough, bro. You need to get eight hours instead of reposting AI slop at 3 a.m."

He later suggested that Trump's speech was a bit self-serving.

Meyers, as Trump, said, "I know if he were here now, he'd say the 2020 election had massive voting irregularities, and Trump barely knew Jeffrey Epstein."

Elsewhere in Trump's speech, the president called the former senator a "tough cookie" and "a force of nature," adding, "I will miss him greatly." Kavanaugh, most of Trump's Cabinet and numerous lawmakers of both parties attended the funeral service after Graham died abruptly on July 11 from a tear in his main artery caused by hardening, his office said in a statement. He was 71.

Additional memorial services were held for Graham in Columbia, South Carolina, his home state.

July 30 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures extended gains slightly on Thursday, as investors assessed a barrage of economic data including a June inflation reading and the second quarter GDP estimates.

A Commerce Department report showed the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price index fell 0.1% in June, compared with a 0.1% decrease expected by economists polled by Reuters. Annually, it stood at 3.7%, compared to estimates of 3.7%.

The core reading increased 0.1% on a monthly basis versus expectations of a 0.2% increase. It stood at 3.3% on a year-on-year basis against expectations of 3.3%.

A separate reading of advance gross domestic product showed the U.S. economy grew by 1.5% in second quarter, against estimates of 2.1% growth.

A jobless claims report for the week ended July 25 showed claims stood 197,000, compared to estimates of 200,000.

At 08:31 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis were up 231 points, or 0.45%, S&P 500 E-minis were up 48.25 points, or 0.66% and Nasdaq 100 E-minis were up 404 points, or 1.48%.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. economy expanded at a sluggish 1.5% pace from April through June as rising imports weighed on growth, yet consumers continued to spend. And the Federal Reserve’s favored measure of inflation grew more slowly last month. But it remained above the central bank’s 2% target at a time when Americans are frustrated about the high cost of living ahead of the midterm elections, now less than 100 days away.

Growth in U.S. gross domestic product — the nation’s output of goods and services — decelerated from 2.1% in the first three months of 2026, the Commerce Department reported Thursday, coming in below economists' expectations. But consumer spending — which accounts for about 70% of U.S. economic activity — increased at a 3.2% annual clip, up from 0.5% in the January-March period.

A measure of the economy’s underlying strength – which strips out volatile government spending and trade numbers – looked good, expanding at a 3.9% annual pace, up from 1.7% from January through March.

Business investment, excluding housing, rose at an 8.4% pace, down from 10.6% from January through March but strong, reflecting a surge in investment in artificial intelligence.

Imports are subtracted from the economic figures because GDP is only supposed to count what is produced in the United States. Imports rose at an 11.5% pace, partly on a surge in shipments of computer chips and other products that support AI investment. The imports shaved 1.5 percentage off second-quarter GDP growth.

"The consumer rescued the quarter,'' said Olu Sonola, head of U.S. economics at Fitch Ratings. “AI investment remains a powerful growth story, but the import surge underpinning the buildout is a reminder that an AI boom does not automatically translate into an equally large boost to U.S. GDP.”

The Commerce Department also said Thursday that its personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index, the one favored by the Fed, rose 3.7% last month from June 2025 , down from a 4.1% year-over-year increase in May. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, so-called core consumer prices were up 3.3% from a year earlier, little-changed from 3.4% increase in May. Prices actually fell 0.1% from May to June on a 9.2% drop in the price of gasoline and other energy products.

The PCE prices were about in line with economists' expectations. But the year-over-year increase in prices has been stuck above the Fed's 2% target for more than five years, and some Fed officials are getting impatient with progress against inflation.

The Fed on Wednesday chose to leave its benchmark interest rate unchanged for the fifth straight meeting. But three regional Fed presidents dissented, saying they wanted to raise rates to combat elevated inflation.

The American economy has been surprisingly resilient in the face of the Iran war and the spike in energy prices it caused. The job market has bounced back this year from a lackluster 2025, giving consumers the wherewithal to spend. Employers are adding an average 92,000 jobs a month this year, compared with fewer than 10,000 a month in 2025 when high interest rates and President Donald Trump’s erratic use of tariffs discouraged businesses from hiring.
